APND Scholarship

Congratulations Linda Ripplinger, Area 1, on wining this
year's APND scholarship.
Purpose:
For
Activity Professionals of North Dakota to expand their education with a
scholarship grant provided by APND.
What is the scholarship?
A $100 scholarship will be awarded to one outstanding activity professional
at the LTC Annual convention in Bismarck
Scholarships may be used towards continuing education hours through these
courses:

LTC Convention
-
·
APND sponsored workshops
(spring or fall meetings)
-
·
Basic education course
-
·
Advanced management course
-
·
ACC (Activity Consultant
Certified) course
-
·
Recreational therapy
(college course)
-
·
Activity-related/LTC-approved
courses
Procedure:
Submit an application,
prior to the deadline
that will be sent out to all active APND members along with the Activity of
the Year and Activity Professional of the Year award applications. You may
apply individually or be nominated by a peer. You may also nominate your
peers.
You have one year from the time the scholarship is awarded to
receive the education. After completion of education, proof of education
must be submitted to the APND Board of Directors, including brochures and
proof of attendance receipt or if a college course is taken, you must submit
course along with the professor’s signature.
Scholarships will be awarded at the annual membership meeting.

A scholarship chairman will choose a committee that will decide the
winners.

You
must be a current paid member (verified by two APND members –APND
Treasurer and APND Area Representative) to submit scholarship application.
